Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has launched its first official crèche at Saheed Nagar, offering affordable childcare services to working parents in the city.
With a monthly fee of just Rs 500, the initiative is designed to provide safe and structured care for young children while their pare
nts are at work.
The creche was formally inaugurated in the presence of Mayor Sulochana Das, Bhubaneswar Central MLA Ananta Narayan Jena, and BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana.
The facility will cater to children between six months and six years of age. It will remain open from Monday to Saturday, between 9 am and 5.30 pm.
Located in the busy hub of Saheed Nagar, which houses numerous government offices, private companies and residential colonies, the crèche is strategically placed to serve families who need reliable childcare close to their workplaces.
Officials said the facility will not only provide supervision but also early learning activities, ensuring that children are engaged in a nurturing environment.
