Bhubaneswar: An enforcement inspector with Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation succumbed to COVID-19 in a city hospital on Monday.
The deceased official, Prafulla Kumar Behera, was assigned COVID-19 related enforcement activities in BMC’s South East Zone
According to sources, Behera tested positive for COVID-19 on August 22 and was shifted to Aditya Ashwini COVID Hospital here. He died while undergoing treatment on Monday morning.
He will be cremated amidst a special guard of honour at Satya Nagar Cremation Ground in the city on Monday, the sources said.
