Bhubaneswar: In order to speed up COVID precaution vaccination drive in Odisha capital, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has extended the facility to three shopping malls.
The BMC, in a tweet, said free COVID precaution vaccination dose will be administered in at three new centres – Symphony Mall at Rudrapur under North Zone of BMC, DN-Regalia Mall at Patrapada under South-West Zone and Esplanade One Mall at Rasulgarh under South-East Zone – from Thursday.
The vaccination dose will be administered from 10 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm at these malls. Interested people can book their slots at cowin.gov.in. The booking has started from 7.30 pm on Wednesday.
Earlier, the BMC had announced to open vaccination camps in 10 shopping malls to expedite the free booster dose administration pace for the 18-59 years age group. “Along with 13 primary and community health centres, the drive will also be conducted in malls. Youngsters and other eligible beneficiaries from the 18-59 age group will be covered,” said BMC commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange.
The civic body has set a target to provide 8 lakh free booster doses during the ongoing 75-day drive in Bhubaneswar.
