Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) began a doorstep vaccination campaign against COVID-19 at six apartments in the city on Monday.
“The BMC is reaching out to the residents welfare associations (RWAs) for hassle-free vaccination of those above 45 years. Today, the drive is underway at six apartments including Balaji Apartment at Jharpada, BMC Bhawani Enclave at Saheed Nagar and Cosmopolis at Dumduma,” BMC’s Zonal Deputy Commissioner Anshuman Rath told the media.
Rath stated that the RWAs had requested the BMC to take up the vaccination of residents in the 45+ age group.
The civic body has set a target to vaccinate around 200 people in each apartment as part of the drive, he added.
Earlier, the BMC had conducted doorstep tests for COVID-19 at several apartments in the city.
