Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will resume public hearing to resolve the problems of the residents of capital city from July 1.
BMC commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, in a press release on the day, said the public hearing that was conducted on Monday every week, was stopped from March 16 due to model code of conduct imposed by the Election Commission of India for Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha.
However, the BMC will resume the public hearing on the direction of the General Administration and Public Grievances department from July 1, Patil said.
The people can file their complaints and grievances during the public hearing to be conducted in the BMC office between 10.30 am and 1 pm on every working Monday. The commissioner and other officials of the BMC will be present in the hearing and will resolve the issues raised by the residents as per the government guidelines.
Besides, the BMC has made several online provisions for the people to file their grievances. They can make a call on toll-free number 1929, file complaints on BhubaneswarMe citizen portal or send email at grievance@bmc.gov.in.
