Puri: A boat carrying more than 50 passengers from Janhikuda to Satpada reportedly got stuck in the Chilika lake due to a technical snag on Wednesday morning.
Among the passengers are 30 students, who boarded the boat on their way to Plus II exam centres.
Efforts are underway to rescue the stranded passengers, sources said.
Meanwhile, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash said that those students will be allowed to enter the exam centres if they reach late and will also be given compensatory time.
The district authorities and exam superintendents have been directed in this regard, he added.
