Jeypore: Bodies of three minor girls were recovered from a pond at Deoganj village under Lamtaput block in Odisha’s Koraput district on Tuesday.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, the three girls had gone to pluck guavas on Monday. When they did not return home, their family members frantically search for them but in vain.
They then lodged a missing complaint at Nandpur police station.
Locals spotted footwears floating in the pond this morning and informed the kin of the trio. Fire personnel later reached the village and fished out the bodies.
