Bhadrak: The bodies of two minor boys were recovered from a pond located near Jagannathprasad village under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Kulamani Barik and Saroj Padhi.
The duo was missing from the village from Mahashivratri on February 14.
According to villagers, the bodies were spotted by some children, who were playing near the pond. They informed the villagers about the incident.
“The family members of the deceased and villagers alleged murder as blood stains were spotted on the mouth of one of the deceased minors. However, an investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact cause of their death”, a police officer said.
