Baripada: The body of a man was found with his throat slit in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Thursday.
As per reports, the 40-year-old man, identified as Udaynath Kisku of Kherana village under Rairangpur Rural police limits in the district had gone out on some work on Wednesday night but did not return home.
On Thursday morning, the locals found his body lying beside Ranchi-Vijaywada National Highway near Jhaladunguri Square under Badampahad police limits and informed the police.
A police team went to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. They have registered a case and started investigation.
Though the cause of the murder has not been known, the police suspected that Kisku might have been killed some miscreants due to past enmity.
