Body Of Man Found With Throat Slit In Kendrapara

Pattamundai: Body of a man was found with his throat slit at Poipat area in Kendrapara district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Prashant Rout, a local resident.
Some morning walkers spotted the body lying in a pool of blood on the road and immediately called up the police.
A police team reached the spot along with a scientific team to initiate investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, family members of the deceased have lodged a complaint with Pattamundai police alleging that he was murdered over past enmity.
“The body has been sent for post-mortem. We are waiting for its report to carry forward the investigation process. However, preliminary inquiry into various angles, including robbery and personal enmity, is underway,” a police officer informed.
