Bhubaneswar: In a gruesome incident, the body of a newborn was found abandoned in a bucket at Satyanarayan slum located at Salia Sahi here on Saturday.
According to sources, the body was spotted by a passerby, who immediately alerted police about the same.
“The death is being treated as suspicious. Investigations are on to ascertain the exact cause of the child’s death. However, it is suspected that the baby was killed by her mother and dumped in the bucket”, a police officer of Nayapalli Police Station said.
