Sambalpur: Residents of Thelkopada in Sambalpur district were in for a shock on Friday when a passerby raised the alarm after spotting body of a newborn floating in a drain.
The locals fished out the body and informed police.
“It appears the baby girl was thrown into the drain soon after she was born. A thorough investigation will reveal the facts,” said a police officer.
