Cuttack: The toll in the Mahanadi drowning case mounted to two on Monday with the body of another teenager being fished out of the water body by ODRAF and Fire Services personnel. The deceased has been identified as Ayur Khan (18).
Notably, three friends had slipped into deep waters while taking bath near Jobra barrage under Jagatpur police limits on Sunday. Locals had then rescued one of them, identified as Shaikh Sahil (17), in a critical condition, but he succumbed while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital here. Sazik is still missing and efforts are on to trace him.
All three boys are residents of Charigharia Sahi in the city.
