Bhadrak: The Bhadrak Town police on Tuesday recovered the body of a Plus II girl, which was found hanging from the ceiling inside a room of a ladies’ mess in Jagannathpur area.
The deceased, identified as Pujarani Mallick of Sahada Haripur village under Sabarang police limits, was a Plus II final year student of the Bhadrak Women’s College. She was staying in the ladies’ mess on rent for the last one month, sources said.
While the scientific team has begun investigation into the death of the girl, the parents alleged that their daughter took the extreme step as a youth had been harassing her for a long time and forcing her to marry him.
