Puri: The body of a policeman was recovered from the railway tracks near Hulihulia bridge in Odisha’s Puri on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Prashant Kumar Sahoo, a resident of Kumutipatana. He was posted with Jagannath Temple Police (JTP).
On being informed, Puri city DSP Janardan Padhi along with IIC of Kumbharpada police station reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
Whether it is a case of suicide or murder is yet to be ascertained.
The Government Railway Police are investigating the matter.
