Kendrapara: A person who was dragged into the Brahmani river by a crocodile while bathing there at Mandapada village in Pattamundai block of Kendrapara district on Sunday, was found dead on Monday morning.
Residents spotted the body of Sanjay Pradhan (47), a resident of Mandapada village, with injury marks on the banks of the river. Some residents standing on the river bank had tried to save Sanjay when he was being pulled by the crocodile but failed. Fire service personnel had later reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.
