Body Of Man Swept Away By Sea Waves At Puri Beach Recovered

Puri: The body of 35-year-old Bansidhar Behera, who was swept away by sea waves at Puri beach on Saturday, was recovered from Beleswar beach under Konark-Puri Marine police limits on Sunday night.

A police team led by Konark-Puri Marine police station IIC Nilima Patnaik reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The body was handed over to his family members on Monday.

Behera had come to Puri with his family members. While taking bath with his son at the beach near Chaitanya Chhak at Secor 9, he was swept away by sea waves. In a video, reportedly shot by a family member, Behera is seen running towards the sea and jumping into the water. Soon after, he went missing.
