Body Of Minor Girl Recovered From Mahanadi In Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Body of a girl aged around 8-10 years was fished out of the Mahanadi near old Naraj Anicut stone embankment under Baranga police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Thursday.

The identity of the minor girl is yet to be ascertained.

According to sources, fishermen spotted the body floating in the river and informed police, which along with Fire Service personnel recovered it and sent it for postmortem.

It is suspected that the girl might have been murdered and the body later dumped into the river.
