Balasore: The body of a three-year-old boy, who was missing since Monday, was recovered from a pond at Raipur village under Soro area of Odisha’s Balasore district on Tuesday.
Fire services personnel, who had launched a search operation, found the body of the child floating in the pond, sources said.
The boy was identified as Subham Sahu, son of Mohan Sahu of Raipur village. The child had gone missing while he was playing in front of his house on Monday evening.
Subham’s family members searched for him at every possible place near their village but failed to find him.
On being informed, police and fire services personnel launched a search operation.
Family members of the boy had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that he might have been kidnapped.
