Cuttack: Body of a lawyer, who had been missing since March 9, was found inside a well at Nuasahi under Bidanasi police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack city late on Monday.
The deceased, identified as Arya Choudhury, was a resident of Telenga Bazaar here.
According to sources, Arya left his house on March 9. When he did not return home, his family, suspecting foul play, lodged a complaint with police. He was, however, found dead and the body recovered by police from the well sent to SCB Medical College and Hospital here for postmortem.
Arya’s mother suspect that her son might have been murdered and the body later dumped in the well.
Police have started an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to his death.
