Puri: The body of a student, who went missing while taking bath in the sea here on. Thursday, was recovered from a beach near Chakratirtha road on Friday morning.
The incident took place when three students from Aeronautical Institute in Kolkata were taking bath in the sea near the Lighthouse. They had come to Bhubaneswar to appear for an examination and visited Puri for leisure.
While two – Rakesh Kumar Singh of Bhadrak and Om Prakash Yadav of Angul – were rescued by lifeguards, the third student, identified as Arbaaz Hussein Qadri of West Bengal, could not be traced.
He was finally fished out by lifeguards after several hours of search operation from Pink house on Chakratirtha road this morning.
The body has been sent for postmortem and police are trying to contact his family.
