Bhubaneswar: Body of a man packed in a gunny sack was recovered from Gangua drain under Mancheswar police limits here on Monday.
The locals found the sack floating in the drain with foul smell emanating from it and informed the police.
The police reached the spot and recovered the body with the help of fire personnel.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Bhadra. He had been missing since the last five days, following which his father had filed a complaint at Mancheswar police station.
It is being suspected that he was murdered and the body later dumped into the drain.
Police are investigating the matter.
