Jagatsinghpur: A Bol Bom devotee went missing while taking holy dip for collecting water from a river in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district on Sunday.
As per reports, while a group of devotees had gone to Ketakeswar ghat of Devi river near Alipingal village in the district in the evening to collect holy water. Before filling their pitchers with water to be carried to Shiva shrine, they took bath in the river.
At the time, two devotees were dragged by a strong current in the river which was in a spate due to heavy rain for the last two days. On being informed, Fire personnel went to the spot and launched a search operation.
After searching for nearly an hour, the Fire personnel traced a devotee and rescued him. But the other person remained missing even as the search operation was going on. The missing devotee was a minor boy from Bidyadharpur village, the sources said.
