Mumbai: After the Government of India banned the use of Chinese apps in the country, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has asked artists not to promote any Chinese product.
“We therefore request all not to endorse any Chinese brand in the wake of the ongoing tension between the two countries. It is an issue of a serious concern and we should all give utter priority to the safety and security of our Nation. For us the ‘Nation comes First’. Hence, we appeal all to kindly refrain from promoting Chinese products or related brands,” FWICE said in a statement.
Actors like Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan have endorsed several Chinese brands, mostly mobile phones.
Now, they will have to discontinue endorsing Chinese brands and look elsewhere.
