Bollywood Shares Rhea Chakraborty’s ‘Smash The Patriarchy’ Message

Mumbai: Actor Rhea Chakraborty stirred Bollywood on Tuesday with the “Smash The Patriarchy” message on her t-shirt, as she reached the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai and from where she was arrested, reported NDTV.

Rhea waved at the cameras before getting into a police van to be taken for a medical examination.

Among the celebrities who shared her quote in solidarity on social media are Vidya Balan, Shibani Dandekar, Anurag Kashyap, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Neha Dhupia, Gauhar Khan, Mandana Karimi, Shruti Seth, Kubbra Sait and several others.

“Everyone loves a witch hunt as long as it’s someone else’s witch being hunted. Walter Kirn,” Sonam Kapoor wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of Rhea’s t-shirt message. Kareena Kapoor Khan shared the quote on her Instagram Stories.

Vidya Balan shared the same quote with the hashtag #JusticeForRhea.

“Roses are red, violets are blue, Let’s smash the patriarchy me and you,” the quote read.

While celebrities like Dia Mirza, Shaheen Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Huma Qureshi only posted the quote on social media, others like Vidya Balan, Shibani Dandekar, Anurag Kashyap, and musician Ankur Tewari complimented it with “#JusticeForRhea.”

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday in a drug case linked with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
