Bhubaneswar: With the triple train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district, which claimed at least 261 lives and left oner 1,000 injured, sending a shockwave across the world, Bollywood has come out in support of the victims.
Several stars took to social media to share their grief with the passengers of the two Express trains that were involved in the accident. They offered condolences to the families of the deceased passengers and prayed for recovery and well-being of the injured.
Salman Khan, in his twitter handle, expressed his sadness for the victims and prayed for their families. “Really saddened to hear abt the accident, May God rest the souls of the deceased in peace, Protect n give strength to the families n the injured from this unfortunate accident,” he said.
Akshay Kumar said, “Heartbreaking to see the visuals from the tragic train accident in Odisha. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. My thoughts and condolences to the families of the affected during this difficult time. Om Shanti.”
Actress Kajol said, “My heart and prayers go out to those who are affected by the train wreck yesterday..Deepest condolences and prayers.”
Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, and Karan Johar also expressed their sympathies for the affected families who lost their near and dear ones in the accident. “Heartbreaking Prayers and Strength to the families,” said Kartik Aryan.
“Odissa…My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured,” wrote Sara who also shared a picture of the mishap with the message.
Karan Johar said, “Heartbroken by the tragedy that occurred in Odisha. My deepest condolences & prayers for the families who have lost loved ones – and strength & love to the injured and recovering.”
Tollywood actors Chiranjeevi and Junior NTR also expressed their condolences. “Utterly shocked at the tragic Coromandel express accident in Orissa and the huge loss of lives! My heart goes out to the bereaved families. I understand there is an urgent demand for blood units to save lives. Appeal to all our fans and good samaritans in the nearby areas to extend all possible assistance for donating life saving blood units,” wrote Chiranjeevi in his message.
Junior NTR said, “Heartfelt condolences to the families and their loved ones affected by the tragic train accident. My thoughts are with each and every person affected by this devastating incident. May strength and support surround them during this difficult time.”
