Bomb Explodes Inside Autorickshaw In Odisha Capital, Driver Critical

Bhubaneswar: Driver of an autorickshaw was critically injured after a bomb exploded inside the vehicle here on Sunday evening.

The victim was identified as Govinda Rao. He was admitted to a private hospital with critical injuries in his right leg.

According to sources, the incident took place near Ravi Talkies under Baragada police limits around 8 pm when the driver was on his way to Bijaylaxmi slum from BJB Nagar. Fortunately, there were no passengers inside the auto.

On Being informed, Baragada police rushed to the spot and seized the auto. They have begun an investigation to ascertain whether someone had kept the explosives inside the three-wheeler or the victim himself was carrying them, the sources added.
