Bhubaneswar: Miscreants allegedly hurled a bomb on an SUV in Baramunda area in Odisha capital late on Sunday.
According to sources, Khandagiri police have seized the vehicle and initiated an investigation on the basis of the complaint lodged by its owner, who sustained injuries in the incident while driving towards the APICOL road from Baramunda. He was later hospitalised.
The complainant alleged that 4-5 persons in two motorcycles followed the SUV and then hurled bomb at it.
Police are also examining nearby CCTV cameras for any clue on the miscreants. They are also questioning two persons detained at Bharatpur police station, the sources added.
The incident, which took place past 3 am, is being attributed to past enmity between two groups, which were involved in ransacking of several vehicles two months back.
