Bomb hurled at Cuttack deputy mayor’s house

Cuttack: Miscreants hurled bomb at Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) deputy mayor Ajay Barik’s house near Palamandap at Badambadi Colony here on Wednesday evening.
According to available information, two motorcycle-borne miscreants hurled bomb at the deputy mayor’s house and immediately fled the spot. Though the reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, locals attributed it to past enmity. Police have started their investigation.
Keonjhar witnessed a similar incident when unidentified assailants threw a bomb at Ghasipura police station under Anandpur block. No major damage was reported. The reason behind the attack is yet to be known.
