Nayagarh: Eight persons were injured, two them critically, after bombs were hurled during a clash between two groups at Kumbharpada village under Khandapada police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district late on Saturday.
The injured were admitted to Community Health Centre at Gania. Two among them, Ranjith Nayak and Deepak Nayak, were later shifted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for better treatment.
According to sources, the clash erupted after one group passed comments on the other. Following which, the other group hurled bombs and one among them exploded severally injuring eight.
A police team is deployed in the village to prevent further flare-ups, which is being attributed to political rivalry.
