Bengaluru: The bomb threat received by Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru earlier on Saturday morning has turned out to be a hoax.
Following the bomb threat email, the DCP Central Bengaluru issued a statement. “Good morning friends. We received the bomb threat e-mail This Morning to Taj West End Hotel in Highgrounds PS our BDDS and ASC team checked premises and found it to be a hoax threat email. We will take a complaint and investigate,” the statement read, according to the Republic TV.
A bomb threat email was received by the Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru, which is known for hosting prominent personalities on Saturday. Following the threat, the bomb squad reached the site.
“Local police and the bomb squad have rushed to the scene and are currently conducting a thorough investigation. Further details are awaited,” Shekar HT, DCP, Central Bengaluru, had told the ANI.
This happened on a day when the Mumbai Police tightened security in Mumbai after an alert of possible terrorist threats from the central agencies. Sources claimed after the alert, strict security arrangements were made at religious places and other crowded places.
