Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has put a stay on Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) demolition at Kangana Ranaut’s property, asking the civic body to file a reply on the actor’s petition, ANI reported.
Earlier in the day, Ranaut had moved Bombay HC against BMC’s demolition drive at her property. A bench of the HC has started hearing the plea, filed by Advocate Rizwan Siddiqui, against the demolition of what BMC termed as “illegal alterations” at her office, the report added.
The 33-year-old actress had tweeted pictures of the BMC workers demolishing certain areas of her office. “Pakistan…#deathofdemocracy”, captioned the ‘Queen’ actor.
