Bhubaneswar: Two unidentified miscreants reportedly hurled bombs at a hotel in a crowded place of Bhubaneswar on Thursday night.
According to sources, two miscreants came on a motorcycle on the National Highway to Rasulgarh square, a commercial hub in the city, at around 8.15 pm. They parked the vehicle on the flyover near the square and hurled the bombs.
One of the bombs hit the window of a room in the hotel and shattered its glass panes. However, nobody was injured in the incident. After the bomb blast, the miscreants sped away on the National Highway.
On being informed, SP Sanjib Satpathy and a team from Mancheswar police station led by IIC reached the spot and stated investigation.
Though the cause of bomb explosion has not been confirmed, it is suspected to be a fallout of old rivalry between two groups, the sources said.
