Puri: At least 30 persons were injured, four of them seriously, after bombs were hurled during a group clash near Sipakuda village in Puri district on Tuesday.
A clash broke out between the locals of Baghamunda and Sipakuda under Krushnaprasad block in the district over construction of a patch of government land at Kianasi here.
More than 100 bombs were hurled from both sides and exchange of fire also took place in the area as the residents of Sipakuda village have been opposing the jetty construction since long, police sources said.
Several boats were also set on fire following the group clash.
It was difficult for the police to reach the spot owing to series bomb blast in the area.
