Bhubaneswar: A portion of the boundary wall of the famous Pathani Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar collapsed on Sunday, creating chaotic scene in the busy area.
As per information, the incident took place near a bus stop where several passengers were waiting.
However, no one was injured after a part of the boundary wall of the planetarium, located in Acharya Vihar area of the city, crumbled
According to locals, the wall collapsed all of a sudden, creating panic among people ran away from the site.
Sources said some vehicles parked near the boundary wall were damaged as the debris fell. At least four two-wheelers were damaged in the incident. Angry over the incident, owners of the damaged vehicles sought compensation, saying the wall collapsed due to lack of proper maintenance.
Local residents sought immediate steps by the authorities to repair the wall and ensure proper safety measures around the planetarium.
No senior official was immediately available for comment on the mishap.
