Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested a young man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend after break-up in the capital city.
According to a complaint filed by the girl at Chandrasekharpur police station, she was in a relationship with the boy, identified as Prakash Singh, for around 3 years. Due to some issues between them, the girl decided to break up the relationship.
She informed Prakash about her decision and told him to delete her photographs saved in his mobile phone. Prakash apparently felt humiliated and did not delete the girl’s pictures.
A few days back, Prakash called the girl for a meeting to a place and went there with another girl. When he insisted on knowing the cause of the breakup, they had an argument.
In a fit of rage, Prakash allegedly slapped the girl and also assaulted her. Later, the girl filed a complaint at Chandrasekharpur police station. Following investigation, the police arrested the boy on Sunday.
