Bhubaneswar: Authorities at the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar, have urged the people to refrain from lighting rocket firecrackers during Diwali. In a notification on Monday, the airport authorities have urged the people not to light Akashdeep and rocket
firecrackers within 20 km radius of the airport as this would pose a threat to the airport and passenger flights.
At present, there are a total of 42 flights from Bhubaneswar to eight different cities in the country, including one overseas flight to Kuala Lumpur.
