While hospital authorities refused to divulge any information, sources said that he had complained of chest pain, according to a report in Hindu.
The West Indies legend was brought to the hospital around 12.30 pm and medical investigations were started immediately. Sources said that he was at an event in a nearby hotel when he complained of discomfort.
