Kalahandi: Vigilance sleuths arrested a child development project officer (CDPO) while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 7,000 at Koksara in Kalahandi district on Thursday.
The accused official was identified as Jayanti Mohanty.
According to sources, Mohanty had demanded the bribe from one Arati Dandasena, an anganwadi worker at Sunamal centre, in order to release her salary held up for three months.
Dandasena lodged a complaint with the anti-corruption wing, following which a trap was laid.
A case has been registered in this connection and further investigation is on.
