Brick Hung From Private Part Of Youth As Punishment In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: In a barbaric act of kangaroo court justice, villagers thrashed a youth and then hung a brick from his private part in Balasore district on Monday.

The shocking incident was reported from Choumukh village in Baliapal police station area.

According to reports, villagers caught the youth after he allegedly intruded into a house when no male family member was present.

The villagers first beat the youth mercilessly and then tied him to a pole. They then stripped down his trousers and hung a brick from his private part as punishment.

A video of the incident has gone viral, triggering condemnation for the cruel act and abject violation of human rights. People have criticised the villagers for taking the law into their own hands instead of informing the police.
