Brijendra Singh Set To Become CMD In Odisha-Headquartered NALCO, Name Recommended By PESB

Bhubaneswar: Brijendra Pratap Singh is set to become the next Chairman-cum-Managing Director of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) with its headquarters in Bhubaneswar with the PESB recommending his name for the post.

According to official sources, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Singh, who is now Director in-charge (Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plants), Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL).

PESB recommended his name after interviewing him and five other applicants for the post of CMD, NALCO, a Navaratna CPSE headquartered in Odisha.

The PESB had in May this year advertised for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) in NAALCO.

According to official sources, the post is to fall vacant on November 1, 2024 as the incumbent CMD Sridhar Patra will be retiring on October 31, 2024.

Through the advertisement, the public sector head-hunter under the department Personnel and Training had sought applications from experienced candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility for the post by June 18, 2024.
