Baripada: A team of Town police in Odisha’s Baripada on Sunday arrested one person in connection with alleged possession of brown sugar.
The accused was identified as Gobind Pal (42), a native of Takatpur under Bhanjapur police limits in Mayurbhanj district, said sources.
From his possession the police seized 199.80 grams brown sugar with market value of Rs 20 lakh. Pal was nabbed by the cops near Golapola in Baripada.
He has been booked under relevant Sections of the NDPS Act and was forwarded to the court, the sources added.
