Bhubaneswar: Commisionerate Police seized brown sugar worth over Rs 38 lakh in the city and arrested two persons in this connection on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted two youths going on a motorcycle on the outskirts of the city. During search, police found 380 gram of brown sugar in their possession and seized the contraband, Deputy Commissioner of Police Umasankar Dash said.
The youths were identified as Arun Digal of Chandrasekharpur and Dinabandhu Majhi of Begunia in Khurda district. Police have also seized some cash and their bike.
