Balasore: Sahadevkhunta Police on Sunday seized 100 gram of brown sugar worth Rs 10 lakh during a raid on a house at Arada Bazar in Balasore town and arrested a drug peddler.
The arrested has been identified as Muna Khan. Police also recovered Rs 23 lakh from his possession.
Muna is the brother-in-law of Sheikh Raja, a drug baron who was recently arrested by Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch.
In Raja’s absence, Muna was running the drug cartel in the Balasore district, police said, adding that the efforts are on to nab Bapana, one of the associates of Muna, who managed to escape during the raid.
