Brown Sugar Worth Rs 2 Cr Seized In Odisha’s Khurda, Peddler Held

Khurda: A team of Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Police seized around 2 kg of brown sugar in Odisha’s Khurda district on Wednesday morning.

According to sources, the team of officers conducted a raid near Khurda-Jatni bypass overbridge after receiving a tip-off and seized the contraband worth over Rs 2 crore. A peddler, identified as Rakesh Samantray of Andharua in Natagarh district, was also arrested from the spot.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, and further investigation is underway.
