Bhubaneswar: Police seized brown sugar worth Rs 30 lakh and arrested a youth at Bharatpur in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The arrest comes a day after the seizure of brown sugar worth around Rs 2.40 crore at Jaleswar Market in Balasore district on Sunday. .
Sources said Excise officials raided Bharatpur following a tip-off and seized the contraband from the youth.
The identity of the accused peddler is yet to be revealed.
Notably, the Commissionerate Police on Monday launched an app called SARAI to crack incidents of drug peddling and street crimes in the state capital.

Police also issued complaint number- 7077798111, for the public for sharing information related to drug trafficking in Odisha.
