Bhubaneswar: The Summative Assessment (SA)-1 examination of Class-X students will begin on November 23, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha announced on Friday.
According to sources, the SA-1 exams will be held till November 30. A total of 5, 32,712 students will sit for the examination in 3029 centers across the state.
The question papers will go to each exam center from 316 nodal centers that have been set up for questionnaires, said sources.
The admit cards for SA-1 exam will be released on Friday. The candidates will be able to download it from the official website of BSE on their own or can take the downloaded admit card from the concerned school authority.
BSE vice-president Nihar Ranjan Mohanty informed that the practical examination will begin on November 11 and continue till November 18.
Notably, the admit cards for Madhyama exams and State Open School Certificate exam will be issued on November 17. Around 2,914 students will appear in the Madhyama examination at 108 centers this year and 7,181 students will appear State Open School Certificate exam.
It is pertinent to mention here that in order to resolve various issues including subject change by students (mainly in a third language) which was earlier creating problems in processing results. The students can now change subjects, names, and caste change by November 17.
Adding to it, BSE will provide another link to all the 8900 schools where they can know the number of students who have filled up forms and where they have been tagged.
“We have also provided details regarding the physically handicapped students who applied for scribe online. Such students can directly come to the centre where superintendents have made provision for scribe. Those who have not applied for scribe online, they can request through deputy secretary,” said Mohanty in the press meet.
