Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, on Monday released the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 notification.
The OTET serves as a key eligibility criterion for teacher teaching positions in primary (Classes 1-5) and upper primary (Classes 6-8) in government and aided schools in Odisha, aligning with national guidelines for teacher quality standards.
The OTET 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on May 29 in two shifts – Paper 1 (for Primary level) f
rom 9 am to 11:30 am and Paper-II (for Upper Primary level) from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
The online application process will commence from March 26 and interested candidates can submit their forms until midnight on April 9 through the official website. All applications and fee payments must be finalised by 11:45 pm on the closing date to avoid any technical issues, it said.
Candidates can download admit cards for the exam from the official BSE website from May 15.
They have been advised to visit the official BSE Odisha website at www.bseodisha.nic.in (or the related portal bseodisha.ac.in) to access the detailed notification, complete the online registration, and submit their applications.
