BSE Odisha Results: Over 13,000 Students Skip SA-1 Exams

Cuttack: After the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha announced the result of Class X Summative Assessment-1 (HSC and Madhyama). It was revealed that more than 13,000 students skipped the exam.

According to sources, a total of 5,37,746 Class X students including 8,942 high school students filled up forms of which 13,058 students did not appear in the SA-1. Besides, 143 students were booked for resorting to malpractice during the assessment.

Likewise, a total of 3,627 Madhyama students had enrolled for SA-1 of which 583 students remained absent.

As per the Board’s notification, those absent from the SA-1 exam will not be given a 40 per cent weightage in the final results. Only candidates who filled up forms are eligible to enroll for SA-II.

Moreover, candidates who indulged in malpractice will not be allowed to fill up forms for SA-II. The BSE also published results of the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examination-2022 (second).

BSE Odisha declared the result for SA-1 on Wednesday. The exam was conducted from November 23 to 30, 2022.
