BSE Odisha Sets New Exam Date For OTET 2026



Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has issued a fresh notification rescheduling the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 to Sunday, June 21.

The offline pen-and-paper examination will be held in two shifts across designated centres in the state.

According to the official update, Paper-I (for Classes 1 to 5) will be conducted from 9 am to 11:30 am, while Paper-II (for Classes 6

to 8) will take place from 2 pm to 4:30 pm on the same day.

This revised schedule comes after the initial exam date of May 29, was changed, reportedly to accommodate the extension of the online application window, which closed on May 9 instead of April 9.

Admit cards for the examination will be available for download starting June 9, at the official BSE Odisha website (www.bseodisha.nic.in) (www.bseodisha.nic.in). Candidates are advised to regularly check the portal for updates and ensure they download their hall tickets well in advance.

The OTET is a cqualifying test for aspiring teachers seeking positions in government, aided, and unaided schools in Odisha for Classes 1 to 8. Eligible candidates include those with qualifications such as DElEd, BEd, or equivalent teacher training programmes.
